Regenerative medicine treatments seek to activate and enhance the body’s natural
internal healing processes. Traditional medications help to decrease symptoms.
Surgery is a treatment options for patient who are appropriate surgical candidate for
orthopedic and spine conditions. However, many patients who have painful
orthopedic and spine conditions are not ideal candidates for surgery, this is where
regenerative medicine therapies can fill in the gap and offer those patients evidence-
based treatments to help promote healing and repair of the damaged tissues.

PRP is Platelet Rich Plasma. Platelets and growth factors circulate in our blood vessels. These substances stimulate our immune cells to repair injured tissues. We can do a blood draw to remove and concentrate these substances. We can use PRP as a treatment for mild to moderate degenerative joint, tendon, ligament, and spine disorders. BMAC is short for Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate. BMAC is drawn from the rear part of the pelvis. It contains mesenchymal stem cells and growth factors that can help enhance the healing process of tendons, ligaments, and arthritic joints. It is used in cases of moderate to severe osteoarthritis and degenerative damaged tendons and ligaments

Stem cells are largely divided into 2 main categories. Autologous refers to the stem
cells that are present in our bodies. These cells can be taken from the bone marrow
or from our adipose (fat) tissue. We can then use ultrasound or x-ray guidance to
inject these cells into damaged tissues to help heal and repair injured tissues. The
second category of stem cells is Allogenic stem cells. These cells are from donated
placental tissues. These allogeneic stem cells can promote healing. Rapha focuses
its attention on using our body’s internal stem cells to help heal.

A Concierge practice chooses to serve its patients by providing a limited number of memberships per year, which is designed to give the physician and patient more clinical time to address the relevant healthcare issues. The regenerative services are not covered by health insurance. Once a patient purchases a 6-month membership they have access to most of our Regenerative procedures at no additional cost. In this model of practice, the physician and patient can make personalized treatment decisions without having to consider if insurance will authorize treatment. Patients
have direct access to the physician. There are no prior authorizations, deductibles, co-pays, etc.

Healthcare insurance does not cover regenerative therapies, because these treatments are considered experimental, despite clinical research data that shows efficacy.

The recovery process following the injection varies depending on the extent of the problem and the type of injection received. Typically, there is some pain following injections. The procedure pain can last between 3 days and 1 week. Most patient get back to their normal routine within about 3 days after the injection. It takes 3 weeks to 3 months to experience significant reduction of the pain related to the orthopedic or spine condition. The healing can continue for 6 months to a year. This gives the
patient time to focus on improving nutrition and exercise to help maintain their gains!
